In September 2006, he moved into that role again.He can also be seen reporting during WTAE's weekday newscasts, and he has a morning talk show on ESPN Radio 1250.A comfortable fixture for many viewers, Junker attended Penn State University and the University of Manchester in England, and has covered local teams and athletes for years. He has also delivered Penguins and Pirates post-game shows and hosted "The Penn State Football Story."Junker said his favorite part of working in sports is interviewing people and his proudest achievement was winning five regional Emmy awards. He chalks up his most embarrassing moment as sitting down where there wasn't a chair during Pittsburgh Penguins' intermissions.Junker attended Penn State University and the University of Manchester in England. He's a big fan of the book "Out of this Furnace," and the movie, "Field of Dreams." His favorite Web site is none other than ESPN.com.Among his favorite places to eat are the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto and, for kicking back, the Little Brown Jug.In his leisure time, Junker coaches little league baseball and amateur Penguins hockey, not to mention, plays in an over-30 basbeball league.Junker resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Darla, daughters Emilee, 12, and Natalee, 8, along with his son Dylan, 11.
