2009 WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. -- Police say the driver of a vehicle that killed two passengers when it collided with a pickup truck has admitted to using heroin hours before the crash.According to court documents, Ashley Stumpf admitted to using heroin at about 3 a.m. before her car collided with a truck on Route 981 in Derry Township on Sept. 13, 2008.State police said they also found evidence at the scene of the crash associated with heroin use, including a syringe, burnt silver spoon and a small piece of white cotton.Police said Jimmy Henderson, 28, was sitting in the front passenger seat and not wearing a seat belt when he was thrown into the back of the car and killed."My sons are my life, and now I have one taken away," said mother Deborah Henderson.David Roble, 21, was also ejected from Stumpf's car and later died at the hospital.State police said toxicology tests on Stumpf took several months and returned positive for opiates and morphine.The Westmoreland County District Attorney's office reviewed the case and Stumpf is awaiting a hearing on several charges, including homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance."I hope she learned her lesson, but I just hope another mother doesn't have to go through this because it's hard," said Deborah Henderson.Three days after Stumpf was posted bond and was released from prison on those charges, Latrobe police charged her with burglary.She is back in the Westmoreland County Prison, being held on a $10,000 bond.
