"People love to talk about the weather, and so do I. It's the one element of the newscast that affects everyone, and it's great to be a part of that.Cropper can be seen weekdays on Channel 4 Action News at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.He has been delivering accurate, easy-to-understand forecasts for WTAE Channel 4 Action News since August 1995, and has been awarded the American Meteorological Society seal of approval for television weathercasting.Cropper holds a three-year certificate in meteorology from Mississippi State University, a bachelor's degree in journalism from Georgia State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law. He has been admitted to practice law in both the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.In addition to serving as co-host for WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle Up and working with many other local charitable organizations, Cropper loves taking weather on the road and into the classroom. Every Wednesday during the school year, he can be found explaining how the weather works and how he keeps track of it.Raised in Atlanta, Cropper and his wife, Mindy, now call Pittsburgh home."Our daughter, Chloe, and our sons, Christian and Carter, were both born here.
