WTAE Channel 4's latest digital innovation is a 24-hour, local weather and traffic channel.

Weather and Traffic Watch 4 is the only Pittsburgh station featuring up-to-date local weather and traffic information around the clock.

"Pittsburghers have long trusted and turned to WTAE Channel 4 for accurate weather coverage. Now our viewers can get local weather and traffic information on demand to fit their busy lifestyles," said WTAE Channel 4 general manager Rick Henry.

Features include:
  • Daily local forecast always on the screen
  • Complete forecast from a Weather Watch 4 meteorologist every 15 minutes
  • 5-day forecasts for local neighborhoods
  • Regional, national and travel forecasts
  • Streaming images from Live Pinpoint Doppler 4 Radar Network
  • Watches, warnings and advisories
  • Breaking weather news
  • Instant accident updates
  • Local traffic delays
  • Detour and construction information

"Weather and Traffic Watch 4 is backed by the area's largest and most experienced team of local meteorologists: Stephen Cropper, Demetrius Ivory and Erin Kienzle," said WTAE Channel 4 news director Bob Longo.

"Weather and Traffic Watch 4 is like The Weather Channel, only better, because it's local," said Cropper. "We make it easy for you to get vital information when you want it -- information that can help prepare and protect your family."

Weather and Traffic Watch 4 will be available over the air on WTAE-DT Channel 4.2, plus on Comcast Channel 204 (former Adelphia systems Channel 100), Armstrong Channel 450 and Atlantic Broadband Channel 110.

It's also streaming online 24 hours a day. To get there, just click on "Weather" or "Traffic" in the navigation menu that appears on the left side of any page on thepittsburghchannel.com.
