POSTED: 1:08 pm EDT March 11, 2008
UPDATED: 1:17 pm EDT March 11, 2008

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will be closing Allison Hollow Road in Chartiers, Washington County, at the intersection of Route 1009 on March 24.

The project will realign Allison Hollow Road with Route 1041 and Route 1009, as well as realign an unnamed tributary to Chartiers Creek.

Currently, the roads form two " T " intersections close to each other. The proposed realignment will result in a four-way intersection. The signal will be replaced and turn lanes will be added to Pike Street and Allison Hollow Road.

A marked detour will be in place that uses Country Club Road and Old Hickory Ridge Road.

The project is expected to last through October.
