There will be major restrictions on West Carson Street, Route 19 and Route 51, which will affect your drive home for the next couple of years.

Starting Tuesday night, West Carson Street, Route 19 and Route 51 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction near the West End Circle.

The $52 million project will realign and reconstruct the West End Circle.

Two bridges will replaced. Route 19 will be widened, and crews will add retaining walls, new lighting and traffic signals.

In the West End Circle, a single southbound lane will be closed from 9 a.m. Thursday until 3 p.m. On Friday, that lane will open and a northbound lane will be closed during those hours.

From 6 p.m. Thursday until 5 a.m. Friday, a single lane will be closed in each direction. That will also take place from 6 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday.
