Business Route 22 Work Affects Monroeville, Churchill, Wilkins

PennDOT is doing construction work on a four-mile stretch of Business Route 22 in Monroeville, Churchill and Wilkins Township.

The first part of the work will be done at the bridge over Lower Rodi Road and Chalfant Run Creek. Lane closures will be scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday-Friday through late November.

Overall, the $7.7 million project includes milling of existing pavement and concrete gutters, widening, drainage, guiderail, curb, traffic signals and signing, pavement marking, structure rehabilitation and other miscellaneous construction.

The work is expected to end in late 2008, according to PennDOT.
