New sod is being installed at Heinz Field for the Pittsburgh Steelers' game against the Minnesota Vikings this weekend.

Workers were busy laying down the new playing surface on Thursday afternoon.

The Steelers are playing on a grass surface this year, not the half-and-half artificial mix they've used in past seasons.

Heinz Field's playing surface is scheduled to be re-sodded one more time at the end of the year.
