Plans For PNC Pirate Ship Are Stalled

While PNC Park is being built at a fast pace, a controversy has arisen over plans for a five-story pirate ship to be constructed adjacent to the new stadium, WTAE's Sheldon Ingram reports.

Some feel the ship would be an eyesore, instead of an asset, to the Pittsburgh skyline, Ingram reports.

Pittsburgh's Sports Exhibition Authority has told the Pittsburgh Pirates that the team doesn't have a right to build the ship, which would double as an entertainment center.

The team has argued that they are desperate to create as many money-making opportunities for the team as possible, Ingram reports.
