"Joe said it would..." is a phrase that Pittsburghers know they can depend on, as Joe DeNardo's talent for accurate weather forecasting is almost supernatural.

Joe has been forecasting the weather with WTAE-TV for over 35 years.

DeNardo received a Master's Degree in Meteorology from the University of Chicago in 1953. He then served four years active duty in the U.S. Air Force where he gained the rank of Commander of the Weather Detachment at the Greater Pittsburgh Air Force Base.

Joe has been honored many times by the American Meteorolgical Society and his forecasts carry the society's prestigious Seal of Approval.

DeNardo's active community service has earned him the Vectors Pittsburgh Man of the Year Award.
