WTAE-TV, Pittsburgh's Hearst-Argyle station, is now interviewing Meteorologist candidates. We are heavily invested in weather branding and technology and are the market's clear leader in that regard. The successful candidate should have a minimum of three years’ television news experience, a working knowledge of computer weather graphics, and the ability to put together accurate, informative, creative and easy-to-understand weathercasts for TV and the Web. Our state-of-the-art tools include our own Baron's Doppler radar, Vipir, Millennium and WeatherCentral Genesis system. AMS seal necessary; degree in meteorology preferred. We are looking for a creative scientist; someone who has a passion for the weather and telling weather stories and can translate that accurately to viewers in a believable, interesting manner. Must be able to work all shifts. Motor Vehicle Record check required.
