Each judge scored the fight 100-90 for "The Pittsburgh Kid" (37-0-1, 14 KOs), who was fighting for the first time since his draw with Leonard Dorin at the Petersen Center in May 2003.

Spadafora (pictured, left) relinquished his IBF lightweight title after the Dorin fight and moved up to 140 pounds. He said he has been sober since going into alcohol rehabilitation late last year.

Galvan (20-5-2, 9 KOs) is a native of Mexico who now lives and trains in Chicago.

The undercard included McKeesport cruiserweight Dan Harvison, who stayed unbeaten with a unanimous decision over Knowledge Bey, of Syracuse.
