The Steelers left Pittsburgh on Monday morning and flew to Detroit, where they'll be playing the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XL.

Several players carried video cameras to document the trip, and some wore green Notre Dame throwback jerseys with the number 6, in honor of teammate Jerome "The Bus" Bettis.

A few fans showed up to see the plane depart. After it touched down, the pilot waved a Terrible Towel out of a window while the plane taxied to the gate.

The Steelers are staying at a hotel in Pontiac, Mich., about 40 minutes outside downtown Detroit. Team practices will be held at the Pontiac Silverdome all week.

Super Bowl XL airs on WTAE-TV at 6 p.m. Sunday. LIVE coverage by the WTAE Channel 4 Action News team, on location in Detroit, begins Sunday morning.
