Cash Earns WNBA Player Of The WeekPOSTED: 5:07 p.m. EDT August 4, 2003 Detroit, MI -- Detroit Shock forward Swin Cash was named
WNBA Player of the Week for games played Monday, July 28 through Sunday,
August 3.
Cash helped the Shock to a 3-0 record for the week by averaging 19.0 points,
5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. She also made 55 percent of her field
goal attempts.
In her second year out of Connecticut, Cash is seventh in the WNBA in scoring
(16.6 ppg) and 12th in assists (3.5 apg). She also captured the award for the
fourth week of the season.
Other candidates for Player of the Week were Charlotte's Andrea Stinson,
Cleveland's Penny Taylor, Connecticut's Shannon Johnson, Houston's Michelle
Snow, Indiana's Tamika Catchings, Los Angeles' Mwadi Mabika, New York's Tari
