PITTSBURGH -- "The Pittsburgh Kid" wants to move up in weight class, and says he'll do it even if he has to relinquish his IBF lightweight title.
Paul Spadafora (pictured, left), of McKees Rocks, says a doctor told him that it is unhealthy to stay at 135 pounds. He wants to immediately move up to the 140-pound junior welterweight division.
Spadafora's May 17 title-unification bout with WBA champion Leonard Dorin ended in a draw. HBO, which aired the bout live from the Petersen Events Center, says it would also like to televise a rematch.
