Heat Deal Draft Pick Thornton To Hornets

(Sports Network) - The Miami Heat traded the draft rights of shooting guard Marcus Thornton to the New Orleans Hornets for a pair of future second-round picks.

Thornton was taken in the second round, 43rd overall. He helped LSU to the SEC Championship in season in which he averaged 21.1 points per contest and 5.5 rebounds.
