The NFL is fining Steelers linebacker James Harrison for comments he made about the officiating in Sunday night's big win at Jacksonville.

Harrison said Wednesday that he would appeal the $20,000 fine, but he declined to say much else for fear of being fined again.

"My name is James Harrison. I'm 30 years old. That's about all I can say," he said after the Steelers' morning practice.

The fine stems from a roughing penalty Harrison received at a crucial time in the fourth quarter. He got called for roughing the passer after the Steelers stopped the Jaguars on third down.

Harrison said he never took an extra step before hitting Jaguars quarterback David Garrard, and actually tried to help break his fall.

After the Steelers' 26-21 victory, the Trib quoted Harrison as saying, "You don't make a call like that in a situation like that. Come on. Unless (the referee) might have money on it. I don't know."

Harrison said he disagreed with the fine, calling it the most unbelievable penalty he's ever seen in his life.
