Big TV Screen In Mellon Arena Will Show Game For Free

The Pittsburgh Penguins' viewing party is coming back to Mellon Arena for the 2008-09 season opener against the Ottawa Senators.

Pittsburgh starts the new season Saturday in Stockholm, Sweden. Back home in Pittsburgh, the "Igloo" will be open with free admission for fans who want to watch the Pens-Sens game on the arena Jumbotron.

Free parking will be first-come, first-served in arena lots. Concession stands will be open for food and drink sales.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for the 2:30 p.m. game.

Throughout the Stanley Cup playoffs last season, thousands of Pens fans who didn't have tickets came to the arena to watch free broadcasts of games.
