2008 Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia, have settled their multimillion-dollar divorce case, the New York Daily News reported."Cynthia and Alex Rodriguez have amicably resolved their dissolution of marriage proceedings," Alex Rodriguez's attorney, Alan Kluger, told the Daily News in a statement."They deliberately engaged in a private negotiation," Kluger told the newspaper. "This was and remains a personal family matter for both of them."The couple has two children, Natasha, 3, and Ella, 5 months.The couple's relationship made headlines leading up to their divorce when the MLB All-Star was linked to Madonna. The 50-year-old singer denied having an affair with A-Rod, and instead claimed the two were just friends.Cynthia Rodriguez was then linked to a singer of her own when it was reported she went to Paris with Lenny Kravitz. He later issued a statement saying he was not having an affair with A-Rod's wife.According to the newspaper, Cynthia Rodriguez requested in her divorce petition the couple's $12 million estate in Coral Gables, Fla., and "equitable distribution" of all assets acquired during the marriage. The 35-year-old also asked for alimony and child support from the Yankees slugger, as well as life and health insurance, and enough money to be able to send the couple's daughters to private schools, the Daily News reported.Alex Rodriguez was only willing to give Cynthia what was required in their prenuptial agreement, according to the Daily News.The actual settlement between the couple was not released.
