Pirates Acquire OF Michaels

Pittsburgh, PA -- (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Pirates acquired outfielder Jason Michaels and cash considerations from the Cleveland Indians for a player to be named later.

Michaels is hitting .207 with nine runs driven in 21 games this season with the Indians.

Over eight season in the league, including his first five in Philadelphia, Michaels is a career .277 hitter with 37 home runs and 203 RBI.
