Steelers Cut Jerame Tuman, Clint Kriewaldt, Allen Rossum

The Steelers released tight end Jerame Tuman, linebacker Clint Kriewaldt and cornerback/kick returner Allen Rossum on Friday.

  • Tuman had the longest tenure with the team, having been drafted in 1999. He played in 121 games, catching 43 passes for 500 yards and seven touchdowns.

    Kriewaldt signed with the Steelers in 2003 after four seasons in Detroit. He played in 74 games with the Steelers, starting two, and made 77 special teams tackles.

    Rossum was acquired from Atlanta in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick before the start of the 2007 season. He led the Steelers with an average of 23.3 yards per kickoff return, and ran one back 98 yards for a touchdown against San Francisco on Sept. 23.
