Moskos, a 21-year-old junior at Clemson University, was chosen No. 4 overall in the first round of the Major League Baseball draft last month.

"All I know right know is that I'm going to go down to Bradenton, Fla., and get in shape and work hard," Moskos said at the news conference on Tuesday.

He throws a fastball that has been clocked at 96 mph this year and a slider at 83 mph, according to MLB.com.

Scouts projected the 6-foot-1, 200-pound Moskos as one of the top college relief pitchers available in the draft.

The Pirates have a history of going for pitching in the first round. This is the seventh time in the past nine years that they've done so.
