Steelers guard Alan Faneca missed morning practice Saturday but returned for an afternoon session, following a clash with team management over his contract.

Faneca lashed out at the organization on Friday for making him play out his contract without a renewal, and he became upset over a remark made by Steelers President Art Rooney II during a meeting Saturday morning.

This comes after the Pro Bowl guard announced this week that this will be his last year in Pittsburgh and that he would like to be traded.

Coach Mike Tomlin persuaded Faneca to return to the field Saturday afternoon. However, Faneca said he will not attend voluntary post-mini camp workouts, and after Sunday, he said he doesn't plan to return until training camp kicks off at St. Vincent College in July.
