Police: Mother Armed With Toy Gun Tries To Steal Snuff

Troopers Find Jacqueline Faye Moore At Her Somerset County Apartment

POSTED: 4:08 pm EDT October 18, 2009

A Somerset County woman confessed to leaving her infant son at home while she attempted to rob a convenience store of snuff while wearing a mask and pointing a toy gun at the clerk, state police said.

Jacqueline Faye Moore, 20, of Rockwood, remained held at the Somerset County Jail on Sunday on $75,000 bond, pending a court date.

State police said Moore waited for customers to leave the S&S Quick Stop in Black Township before she entered and demanded that the clerk "give her all the snuff or she would shoot her brains out," a state police statement read.

The clerk identified Moore to troopers investigating the incident, who then found Moore at her apartment. State police said Moore confessed to the crime, and troopers found a toy gun at her apartment.
