Democratic Presidential Candidate Richardson In Pittsburgh

POSTED: 5:14 pm EDT September 27, 2007
UPDATED: 5:58 pm EDT September 27, 2007

Democratic presidential candidate Bill Richardson was in Pittsburgh Thursday, trying to gain support by touring Pittsburgh landmarks.

The New Mexico governor will be holding a fundraiser in downtown Pittsburgh Thursday evening.

Richardson, who stopped at Wholey's Fish Market in the Strip District, talked with customers and had a question and answer session with the media.

In a recent television ad running in New Hampshire, Richardson claims he is the only Democratic candidate with a firm deadline to get troops out of Iraq.

During a debate in New Hampshire Wednesday night, Richardson separated himself from other candidates on the issue.

"Obama and Clinton couldn't answer when they were pulling the troops back," Richardson said. "I would bring them back within a year."

Richardson is running in about fourth position in most of the Democratic candidate polls right now.
