Key Findings:

Rudy Giuliani may be the front-runner nationally for the Republican nomination, but in Pennsylvania he's in a dead heat with John McCain. Both are pulling 29 percent of the vote.

Mitt Romney is a distant third at 12 percent. The undecided vote still sits at 24 percent.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is pulling 40 percent. John Edwards trails with 21 percent and Barack Obama follows at 18 percent.

Gov. Ed Rendell's performance score is down 5 percent since February. His voter satisfaction has decreased from 50 percent to 45 percent.

Pennsylvanians favor taxing oil company profits to fund road repairs or public transportation with 59 percent of the vote.

As for leasing the Pennsylvania Turnpike to a private company, 47 percent are in favor, 40 percent oppose it and 13 percent are undecided.

More opposition than support for increasing the state sales tax to reduce property tax as 50 percent oppose the move while 44 percent favor it.

The big question is whether or not voters think Pennsylvania is heading in the right direction. Reviews are mixed. 42 percent say yes. 45 percent say no. 13 percent simply don't know.

The poll carried a sample error margin of plus or minus 4 percentage points. It was produced at the Center for Opinion Research at Franklin and Marshall College, in conjunction with WTAE-TV, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Philadelphia Daily News, the Patriot-News in Harrisburg, and WGAL-TV in Lancaster.
