Marilyn Brooks
Marilyn Brooks is WTAE-TV's Medical Editor and has been a fixture in Pittsburgh and at WTAE since 1983.
She attended Wayne State University in Detroit and went to grad school at Columbia University in New York.
"The favorite part of my job is learning the new, cutting-edge medical and surgical technologies and procedures as well as the people that I meet," she said.
Her interests range from Mozart to jazz and from skiing to horses.
Brooks also enjoys antiquing, or as she puts it, "renovating old stuff."
Brooks, who has a daughter, also enjoys the company of her Irish Wolfhound and cat.
Among her favorite restaurants is Mallorca on the South Side and The James Street.
She recently received the 1999 Women's Leadership Assembly's Susan B. Anthony Women of Vision Award.
