A new DVD takes Pens fans from last year's Stanley Cup loss to this year's thrilling victory in seven games.

WEST HOMESTEAD, Pa. -- Some of the Stanley Cup champion Penguins -- along with the cup itself -- were in town Monday for a private showing of the official 2009 championship DVD before it went on sale in Pittsburgh-area stores.

Tyler Kennedy shows off the Stanley Cup to 500 fans at an invitation-only VIP screening of a new DVD showcasing the Pens' big victory.

About 500 fans viewed the DVD at an invitation-only VIP screening at the AMC Loews Waterfront movie theater in West Homestead. The cup was on display in the lobby.

"I think that's the quality of the fans that we have in Pittsburgh. As sports fans for the Steelers and the Penguins, I mean, that's why I love to play here," said Kris Letang, who was there with teammate Tyler Kennedy.

The two signed autographs before the showing and fans got to see four NHL trophies the Pens had won. WTAE Channel 4's Jon Greiner reported that Evgeni Malkin's name was just added to the Art Ross and Conn Smythe trophies.

"It's thrilling. My husband's friend won the tickets and he was teasing us that this is our anniversary gift because our anniversary is tomorrow, but this is just thrilling to be here," said Erica Dipyatic, a Pens fan.

The DVD takes fans from last year's Stanley Cup loss to this year's thrilling victory in seven games. It shows how the Penguins got to the Stanley Cup Final with playoff wins against Philadelphia, Washington and Carolina, and then dethroned the defending champion Detroit Red Wings.

"That was very emotional. It truly is a sensational feeling to be with all the fans and experience the victory of the cup again. It's absolutely amazing," said Mark Ply, a Pens fan.

"It was amazing. It was like reliving it all over again. It was absolutely amazing," said Jesse Bischof, a Pens fan. "I cannot wait (for next season). October is way too far away right now."

In addition to the theater screening, Letang signed hundreds of autographs during a two-hour session at Giant Eagle in McMurray on Tuesday afternoon.

Kennedy will sign autographs at Dick's Sporting Goods at The Mall at Robinson from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
