PITTSBURGH -- Will it be the South Side? Maybe the Strip District?Sidney Crosby can legally get a drink anywhere he wants -- although Pittsburgh Penguins fans hope he takes a swig from the Stanley Cup soon. The Pens' captain turns 21 today, and he has already accomplished so much that it's easy to forget how young he is.In 2005, Crosby broke into the National Hockey League as its No. 1 overall draft pick at age 18.He scored 102 points that season, breaking Mario Lemieux's team rookie scoring record and becoming the youngest player in NHL history to reach the 100-point mark. The next season, at age 19, he led the NHL in scoring, won the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP and became the youngest player to ever be named captain of a team and a starter in the All-Star Game. And of course, last season, Crosby helped carry the Pens to the brink of a Stanley Cup championship, only to lose in the finals to Detroit in six games.Crosby is celebrating his 21st with some junior hockey friends in his native Canada, where the legal drinking age is 19.He told WTAE Channel 4's news exchange partner, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, that his liquor of choice is Jack Daniels or Crown Royal.
