Westlake, OH -- Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow was injured in a minor motorcycle accident over the weekend, the team confirmed Monday.

Winslow, fresh off his rookie season with the Browns, was riding a motorcycle when he apparently hit a curb and was thrown from the bike.

Reports indicated that Winslow's helmet wasn't fastened safely and flew off his head during the accident.

Winslow, the sixth overall pick in the 2004 draft out of Miami-Florida, had his rookie season cut short after suffering a broken right leg in a Week 2 loss at Dallas. Winslow finished the 2004 campaign with just five catches for 50 yards.
