2009 Steelers Training Camp Schedule

Another Season Of Pittsburgh Football Almost Here

Are you ready for some football? The Pittsburgh Steelers' 2009 training camp is here.

Players must report to camp at St. Vincent College on Friday. Open practices will begin the next day.

Open workouts are free to the public, beginning daily at 2:55 p.m. and ending around 5 p.m. The public can enter the campus at 1:30 p.m.

Here is the complete schedule:


July 31: Players report, no practice
August 1: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 2: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 3: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 4: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 6: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 7: Night practice at Memorial Stadium in Latrobe 7 p.m. (admission fee)
August 8: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 9: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 10: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 11: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 12: No open practice
August 13: No practice... Steelers vs. Cardinals at Heinz Field, 8 p.m.
August 14: Off day
August 15: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 16: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 17: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 18: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 19: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 20: Open practice 2:55 p.m.
August 21: No practice ... team breaks camp

Players may sign autographs after practice at their own discretion. There are designated areas for fans to wait if they want to try to get a player's autograph.

The Steelers Experience takes place at an adjacent field on campus and allows fans get a taste of training camp through games and exhibits hosted by the team. The Steelers Experience commonly runs from 2-6 p.m. during open camp days.
