More Motions Filed In Roethlisberger Sex Assault Case

Accuser's Attorney: No Objection To Waiting For Supreme Court Ruling

UPDATED: 9:18 am EDT October 27, 2009

Two new motions have been filed in the civil sex assault case against Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and several Nevada casino employees.

The attorney for Roethlisberger's accuser, Andrea McNulty, argued the judge should not reconsider the Harrah's casino employees' motion to dismiss the lawsuit against them.

McNulty's attorney has also filed paperwork stating they do not oppose putting all proceedings in the case on-hold until the Nevada Supreme Court rules on an appeal asking for a change of venue.

McNulty, a former VIP host at Harrah's Lake Tahoe, accused the quarterback of sexually assaulting her and Harrah's of covering it up.

The suit seeks a minimum of $440,000 in damages from Roethlisberger and at least $50,000 in damages from Harrah's officials regarding the alleged incident in July 2008 in a penthouse across the street from the upscale Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

Roethlisberger was in town for a celebrity golf tournament.

He has denied the allegations and maintains the woman acted voluntarily at all times while in his room.

His lawyers have said the fact that she never filed a formal criminal complaint with police is proof she made up the story to try to secure a big payout from the NFL star.
