Steelers Waive Redman, Bring Back DE

RB Isaac Redman Could Rejoin Practice Squad

POSTED: 7:51 pm EDT October 5, 2009

The Steelers have waived running back Isaac Redman and re-signed defensive end Nick Eason.

Eason was released Saturday to make room for Redman on the team’s active roster.

Redman spent the first three games of the season on the Steelers’ practice squad, but was promoted to the 53-man roster when an injury kept running back Willie Parker out of Sunday’s game.

Redman dressed for the Steelers’ 38-28 win over the San Diego Chargers, but saw little action.

He is likely to rejoin the Steelers’ practice squad.
