Steelers Offer Fans Option To Buy, Sell Unused Tix Online

Steelers TicketExchange is a new service that allows Pittsburgh Steelers season ticket holders to sell tickets to other fans for games they are unable to attend.

Ticketmaster will power the service, which is set to begin on Wednesday and will serve as the team's authorized provider of resale tickets.

"If fans purchase tickets through Steelers TicketExchange, they can rest assured that they are not purchasing fake tickets," said Steelers President Art Rooney II.

Fans who buy a ticket through the TicketExchange system will be e-mailed a new ticket with a new barcode identifying them as the new owner of that ticket.

The new ticket can then be printed out and scanned at the entry gates at Heinz Field.
