The Carnegie Science Center unveiled the region's first full-dome immersive technology with the new Buhl Digital Dome.

The Buhl Digital Dome has taken the old planetarium and turned it into the ultimate high-definition theater.

The 50-foot domed screen made its debut on Wednesday.

With the hi-definition technology, the Carnegie Science Center said the dome is 10 times anything you will see at home.

"This is nothing like the normal planetarium experience," said Joanna Haas, of the science center. "It's must-see, never been seen before in his community. It is a trip to the stars and so much more."
