More O'Connor Wristbands On SaleUPDATED: 9:25 am EDT September 8, 2006 PITTSBURGH -- Inspired by Mayor Bob O'Connor's battle with cancer, a Pittsburgh paramedic came up with a way for people to keep the mayor in their thoughts.Black rubber wristbands with "Everybody's Mayor ... Bob O'Connor" written in gold are on sale downtown for $2 each. Proceeds benefit the local chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.The wristbands are being sold on Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City-County Building and from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Market Square.Bracelets may also be purchased by mail.
