2006 PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers radio broadcaster Myron Cope was involved in a multicar fender-bender on the Parkway West, state police said.The crash happened a little after 11:30 a.m. Friday in the inbound lanes near Banksville Road as traffic was approaching the Fort Pitt Tunnel. Video: Cope's rented Ford Explorer was one of five vehicles involved in the wreck. Police said all drivers had their seat belts on and nobody was injured.According to a police report, Cope's Explorer collided with a Nissan Altima from behind in the right lane. The Altima then slammed into the back of a tractor-trailer.Cope passed the two damaged vehicles, then struck the back of a Honda Odyssey, which then hit a Dodge Ram, according to the report."I just heard a loud screeching noise, and metal sounding, and I looked up and I saw a car coming towards me, kind of swerving sideways into my vehicle," said Nicole Grigor, the Honda driver.Cope's brakes were checked and found to be working properly, the police report said."I asked him if he was OK, and he asked us if we were OK, and he was very pleasant and felt very bad about the situation," Grigor said.According to the police report, a citation is pending against Cope.
