A man was caught spray-painting graffiti on a South Side building with the words “Red Dog," police reports said on Wednesday.

Aaron Gaglia, 24, of Lawrenceville, and a female companion were detained after a bystander told police that vandals were spray-painting a building on Carey Way.

An officer detained Gaglia and his companion after locating them based off the witnesses’ description.

Police said many Pittsburgh neighborhoods, including the South Side, have had an increase in criminal mischief-related incidents such as graffiti.

Anyone whose property has been tagged with the words “Red Dog” is asked to contact police at the Zone 3 station on Mary Street.
