Mr. Bigglesworth has been caught.

The African Serval cat was captured at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday inside a homemade trap (pictured, left) at the Homewood Cemetery.

He is being checked out by a veterinarian and will be quarantined for a few days.

Mr. Bigglesworth

The African Serval cat resembles a cheetah. He is about 2 feet tall, 3 feet long, and weighs about 40 pounds. He got away from owner Mark Nurenberg on Aug. 2 in Point Breeze.

A Mifflin police officer was able to shoot Mr. Bigglesworth with a tranquilizer dart at one point during a search earlier in the week.

The glassy-eyed cat stumbled into some bushes and hissed violently when some would-be captors approached, forcing them to quickly take a step back.

Mr. Bigglesworth used the extra seconds to vanish into the woods.
