Four days after the body of Dr. John Yelenic was found, police have come forward to let the public know they have nothing to worry about. Police said they are sure Yelenic was targeted.

But without a suspect, that does little to ease the community's fears.

On Monday, police remained tight-lipped about the Yelenic's death. They wouldn't even say how he died.

But sources told Channel 4 Action News he bled to death after his throat was cut during a struggle sometime overnight Thursday.

Besides authorities, several members of the community showed up to Monday's news conference. Many of them knew Yelenic, and most lived in his neighborhood.

For the last few days, they've been worried about their own safety, looking at the home Yelenic once shared with his wife and adopted son.

Police are looking into the weeks before his death, hoping to find a lead.

They said his car was the only one on the block to by spray painted by vandals just two weeks ago.

His friends said he was going through a nasty divorce that was scheduled to be finalized the day his body was found. His ex-wife had filed a protection from abuse order against him in 2003.

Police wouldn't say what at the scene makes them believe he was targeted.

Blairsville police wound not give a time frame as to when they believe they can crack the case.
