Traffic was restricted Sunday night on the South Side of Pittsburgh, where an impromptu street celebration for the Steelers broke out.

Almost immediately after Pittsburgh beat Denver to earn a trip to Super Bowl XL, fans poured out of bars and restaurants and began partying in the middle of East Carson Street.

Pittsburgh police said extra officers were deployed to the scene in anticipation of the revelry.

East Carson Street was closed to new traffic while the celebration continued. Cars already parked on the street were allowed to leave.

No arrests have been reported.
