People who live in Shaler Township are being asked to conserve water, after five water main breaks took place over a four-hour span.

The township water department is asking all residents to delay running dishwashers and temporarily stop running washing machines until Tuesday morning.

All water service to the five areas affected by Sunday's wate breaks have been restored.
