The family of hunter found shot to death in Westmoreland County is offering a reward for information about his death.

The Westmoreland County Coroner says a bowhunter found dead was killed by a shotgun wound to the chest.

Because authorities are still investigating, however, the coroner still isn't saying whether Steven Andrew Kachonik's death is a homicide or an accident.

Steven Kachonik, 39, was found shortly after 7 a.m. in Loyalhanna Township.

His family reported him missing Saturday, when he failed to return from bow hunting.

Police used bloodhounds and a helicopter to search for him.

Police say Kachonik was found near the road he lived on.

The family of the Kachonik is putting up a $50,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of his killer.

State police and the Pennsylvania Game Commission are investigating.
