2005 PITTSBURGH -- Redevelopment plans in the city's Garfield section were behind the demolition of a senior high-rise building Friday.The 14-story Garfield Heights High Rise was imploded at noon, sending large clouds of dust into the sky. Slideshow: Garfield Implosion The building -- which was built in the 1960s -- used to house about 350 senior citizens.The land is being cleared for new housing.
