Neighbors in Pittsburgh's Homewood section had long complained about a house that many children pass on their way to and from Westinghouse High School.

On Tuesday afternoon, city police got a search warrant and a Community Emergency Response Team raided the building in the 1000 block of North Murtland Street.

Eight people were arrested and will face drug-related charges, police said.

Crack, marijuana, scales and ammunition were confiscated from the house, police said.

The block was sealed off to traffic during the raid.
