Nathan Hugh Wedgeworth, 22, and the 13-year-old were pulled over by FBI agents on Interstate 30, near Texarkana, Ark., police said.

Arkansas State Police said the girl, who lives in Hunker, Pa., appeared to be unharmed. She remained in Texarkana on Friday night, waiting to be taken home.

Wedgeworth, of Lufkin, Texas, is being held in the Bi-State Jail on a Pennsylvania State Police warrant for interference with the custody of a child. Efforts are under way to extradite him to Pennsylvania.

The teen's parents said she vanished after going out to play with her dog Thursday afternoon, but police said files on her computer showed that she made plans to meet and leave with Wedgeworth, whom she knew from a chat room.
