Huge Old Lobster Moves From Strip To Zoo

Employees at Wholey's Market in the Strip District say they have an estimated 100-year-old lobster in the house.

"Bubba," as he's been nicknamed, tips the scales at 23 pounds.

His claws are so large that two people -- one for each -- are needed to carry them.

That's a lot of lobster meat, but you can put away the butter because Bubba isn't destined for a boiling pot.

Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium officials picked up Bubba on Tuesday afternoon. Next week, they will send him to his new home at Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
