Burnt Pizza Leads To New Ken Drug Bust

A woman faces drug charges stemming from a small fire in New Kensington.

Firefighters responded to a call at an apartment in the 200 block of North Street on Tuesday morning.

When the fire was out, police found a large amount of marijuana and some weapons. A woman inside the apartment was charged with possession and intent to deliver.

According to police, the fire started after the woman put a pizza in the oven and forgot about it. No one was injured.
