SouthSide Works Opens With Dining, Shopping, Movies

A new attraction on an old site officially opened Friday on Pittsburgh's South Side.

SouthSide Works SouthSide Works includes clothing stores, restaurants, loft apartments, a movie theater, parks, a town square and a bank.

The complex is built on the former site of a steel mill, between 26th and Hot Metal streets.

Restaurants include Hot Metal Grille and The Cheesecake Factory.

Shops include Z Gallerie. Opening in the next year will be Urban Outfitters, Kenneth Cole, Benetton, Sur La Table and more.

A 15-story hotel and condominiums are also planned.
