Today is the last day for those who owe Allegheny County property taxes to pay without paying a penalty.

The county treasurer's office will accept tax bills postmarked no later than today. If bills are late, they tack on a 5 percent penalty along with interest charges of one percent per month on the balance due.

If you have any questions, the Allegheny County treasurer's office will be open until 4:30 this afternoon.
